Frederick is obsessed with Miranda. He is repressed, introverted & unloved. A collector of butterflies & a photographer. She is a beautiful, privileged art student. When Frederick wins the lottery he buys a remote farmhouse & abducts Miranda. Having imprisoned her in his cellar he discovers the reality is far from his fantasy. A superb psychological thriller that is by turn sad, tense and horrific.
